Content, rights and how we handle leaks
We report on GTA – with official sources, our own writing and clear limits when it comes to leaked material.
This English text is a translation provided for convenience. The German version is the authoritative one, because the operator is based in Germany.
What we publish
- Our own texts: articles, guides, knowledge entries and ticker items that our editorial team compiles from sources and writes itself.
- Official statements with sources: statements from announcements by Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, platform operators and other original sources, each with a link and check date. Every statement carries a status (for example “officially confirmed” or “reported by source”).
- Images only with a rights record: an image appears only if a documented rights record exists (licence, press clearance, Rockstar Games' fan policy or own creation) and the author can be credited. We show official images from Rockstar Games non-commercially, unaltered and credited “Image: Rockstar Games” (editorial guidelines). Where no image has been approved, we use our own illustrations.
- Official trailers: only as an embed from the publisher's official channel and only after a click (youth protection).
What we do not publish
- leaked material of any kind: developer videos, build dumps, source code, internal documents – neither as a file nor as a link, screenshot or retelling,
- datamined assets, models, textures, audio files or text from game files,
- developer or pre-release builds and content from them,
- claims based solely on leaks presented as confirmed facts,
- images without a rights record, even if they are circulating “everywhere”,
- play tests, benchmarks or hands-on reports we did not actually carry out.
These rules are enforced technically: our publishing check blocks articles without a source, with leak sources or leak indicators, with claimed play tests or with images without cleared rights. Community posts are governed by the community rules with automatic pre-screening.
Notices from rights holders (takedown)
If you hold rights in content that appears on Leonidatime and believe the use is not permitted, write to kontakt@leonidatime.de or use the report form and mark yourself as a rights holder. It helps if you include:
- the address (URL) of the affected content,
- the affected work and the basis of your authorisation,
- a contact address for follow-up questions.
We review notices promptly, remove or amend affected content where the notice is justified and get back to you. For user posts, the procedure under Art. 16 DSA applies. We do not promise a fixed response time, but rights notices are handled with priority. Official images that we show on the basis of Rockstar Games' fan policy are taken offline immediately when Rockstar Games or Take-Two ask us to; no justification is needed.
Trademarks and names
“Grand Theft Auto”, “GTA”, “Rockstar Games” and related names are trademarks of their respective owners. We use them solely descriptively, to name the subject of our reporting. We do not use official logos, wordmark graphics or fonts of the game, and the site is deliberately designed to look distinct.
Leonidatime is an unofficial, independent fan site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorized by Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive or any of their subsidiaries. Grand Theft Auto, GTA, Rockstar Games and all related names, trademarks, logos and images are the property of their respective owners and are used here solely for identification and editorial reporting. We do not publish or link to leaked or otherwise unauthorized material.
Quotations
We use short quotations from official statements, interviews or reports for the purpose of substantiating and contextualising a statement (Section 51 of the German Copyright Act, UrhG), with attribution and only to the extent necessary for that purpose. We do not reproduce third-party texts, images or videos in full and summarise third-party reports in our own words with attribution.
Corrections
We correct factual errors visibly: the affected article receives a correction notice, and the correction appears in the public list under corrections. You can report errors via the contact page or the report form. Our corrections policy is part of the editorial guidelines.
