Who is officially in GTA 6, and what do we actually know about them? On May 6, 2025, Rockstar Games released Trailer 2 and added character profiles to the official website (Rockstar Newswire). According to Rockstar, GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S (Rockstar Newswire).
Every officially introduced character at a glance
- Jason Duval – protagonist; after time in the Army, he now works for local drug runners in the Leonida Keys.
- Lucia Caminos – protagonist; a fighter who ended up in the Leonida Penitentiary after fighting for her family.
- Brian Heder – old-school drug runner from the Keys; Jason lives rent-free at one of his places in exchange for help with shakedowns.
- Cal Hampton – Jason's friend, who also works for Brian.
- Boobie Ike – Vice City figure who built a legitimate business empire.
- Dre'Quan Priest – ambitious music entrepreneur with his own label.
- Real Dimez – rap duo made up of Bae-Luxe and Roxy, signed to Dre'Quan.
- Raul Bautista – seasoned bank robber looking for the right crew.
Real Dimez share a single profile, which is why eight profiles add up to nine names. Note the spellings: Dre'Quan with an apostrophe, Bae-Luxe with a hyphen, and Raul Bautista – not “Batista.” You can find the originals in the Only in Leonida section of the official website.
Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos: the couple at the center
According to the official game description on rockstargames.com/VI, the story centers on Jason and Lucia as a couple: a job goes wrong and pulls them into criminal dealings that span all of Leonida. Rockstar's own wording is on the official site.
According to his profile, Jason Duval comes from a criminal milieu. After his time in the Army, he ended up in the Leonida Keys, where he now works for local drug runners. How he is tied to Brian Heder is covered further down.
Rockstar portrays Lucia Caminos as a fighter who was taught by her father. Fighting for her family landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary, and according to Rockstar, she only got out by a stroke of luck.
According to VGC, Rockstar described the pair in an August 2026 interview with Dazed magazine: Jason as a former soldier turned drug runner and Lucia as a fighter just out of prison, adding that the two can operate together or on their own. According to VICE (October 2026), Rockstar also presents them as a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style couple in an interview in LOVE Magazine (Issue 27). We have not seen either interview in the original, so treat these details as reported, not confirmed.
Brian Heder and Cal Hampton: Jason's circle
According to his profile, Brian Heder is an old-school drug smuggler from the Keys who never really retired: he still runs his business out of a boatyard, together with his third wife, Lori. Jason lives in one of Brian's properties without paying rent and in return helps him collect money locally. Lori is named in the profile but has no profile of her own.
Cal Hampton is Jason's friend and also works for Brian. His profile paints him as a homebody who feels safest within his own four walls, likes to monitor Coast Guard radio and has a soft spot for internet theories.
Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest and Real Dimez: business and music
According to his profile, Boobie Ike is one of Vice City's best-known figures: he has put his street past behind him and now runs legal businesses, among them real estate, a strip club and a recording studio.
Rockstar presents Dre'Quan Priest less as a performer and more as an up-and-coming entrepreneur who treats music first and foremost as a business. Backed by Boobie Ike, he runs his own label and has Real Dimez under contract; a track with them became his first viral hit. Real Dimez are Bae-Luxe and Roxy, friends since high school who know how to make social media work for them. For more on the soundtrack, see Music & Radio.
Raul Bautista: the seasoned bank robber
Per his profile, Raul Bautista is an experienced bank robber who is always scouting for bold, capable people for his jobs. How closely he works with Jason and Lucia is something we deliberately leave open here – we do not describe scenes from the videos so nothing gets spoiled for you.
Where to see the characters in motion
You can see the characters in Trailer 2 from May 6, 2025, and in “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look”; Lucia already appeared in Trailer 1 on December 4, 2023 (US time). Rockstar announced the Extended Look on August 6, 2026 (Rockstar Newswire); it premiered on Netflix on August 27, 2026, and then, six hours later (9 p.m. ET), on YouTube and the official website. Our video page lists all major official videos with dates and status, now including the Launch Trailer.
Who voices the characters?
Based on our research, Rockstar had not published an official cast list of voice actors or performance capture performers as of October 14, 2026. Names that circulate online for Jason, Lucia or Cal are fan attributions, so we do not list them here.
One widely reported case: according to VICE (September 2026), actor Stephen Root told the Associated Press that you will see him in GTA VI. Reports differ on whether he named the role himself; press reports link him to Brian Heder based on the character's voice. Rockstar has not confirmed this, so officially the voice cast remains an open question for every character.
What is not confirmed
- Voice cast: We found no official cast list as of our check date. Every name in circulation is unconfirmed; for Stephen Root, there is only his own statement as reported by the press.
- Additional characters from the Extended Look: According to Dexerto, more names come up in the showcase. We found no official profiles for them on Rockstar's website as of our check date; their spellings and roles are not confirmed.
- New character reveals in October 2026: As of October 14, 2026, we found no official announcement. Dates circulating online are predictions.
- Profile details: Our descriptions paraphrase the profiles. Specifics such as the names of businesses will only be added once they have been checked against the original.
- Fan theories: Speculation about characters returning from earlier GTA games, links between characters or how the story ends is not supported by official sources.
