Grassrivers
Officially confirmed
Rockstar describes the Grassrivers as a sprawling wetland of open water and mangroves. In October 2026 Rockstar mentioned the region again: the radio station Back Country Radio covers it.

- Officially confirmed
- Grassrivers
- Official website
The Grassrivers are one of Leonida’s six officially named regions and have had their own page in the “Only in Leonida” section since May 6, 2025. Rockstar describes them as a sprawling wetland of open water and mangroves (paraphrased).
A second official mention comes from the Newswire post “The Music of Grand Theft Auto VI: In-Game Radio Stations” from October 8, 2026: the station Back Country Radio covers the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn “and beyond.” You will find more on the stations under Music & radio.
What is not confirmed
- The Everglades as the model: an obvious comparison, but it comes from the press and fans, not from Rockstar.
- Wording and extent: The description is paraphrased and has not yet been fully checked against the original. Rockstar has not published the wetland’s borders or size. There is no official map; documented locations are listed in our places directory.
