- Official website
Jason Duval is one of the two protagonists of Grand Theft Auto VI. In short, his official profile in the Only in Leonida section portrays someone who grew up around crooks, did a stint in the Army after a rough youth and now takes jobs from local drug runners in the Leonida Keys. Rockstar only introduced him by name when it expanded the website alongside Trailer 2 on May 6, 2025, as Game Informer and others reported at the time.
The official synopsis on rockstargames.com/VI puts Jason and Lucia Caminos front and center together: a job that was supposed to be easy goes sideways, and the two end up caught in a statewide criminal conspiracy and must rely on each other more than ever. Other profiles fill in his circle: Jason stays in one of Brian Heder's properties without paying rent and helps Brian with shakedowns in return, and Cal Hampton is his friend. You can find every profile under Characters and the Keys under Places.
According to VGC, Rockstar gave Dazed an interview in August 2026 and described Jason there as an ex-military drug runner, adding that he and Lucia can operate together or on their own. We did not have access to the interview itself, so these statements count as reported. According to Dexerto, Jason appears in An Extended Look, the presentation released on August 27, 2026, including scenes with Raul Bautista – all major official videos, now including the Launch Trailer, are collected under Trailers & videos.
What is not confirmed
- Voice actor: As of October 14, 2026, we have found no official cast list from Rockstar. Names floating around online for Jason are unconfirmed fan attributions, so we do not repeat them.
- Wording: We paraphrase the profile. It talks about a stint in the Army, not a discharge from the military.
- Videos: We deliberately leave out scenes and plot details from Trailer 2 and the Extended Look so nothing gets spoiled for you. Our appearance list only includes videos with official backing; appearances mentioned only in press reports appear in the text alone.
